22,000 female students securing 1st division in HS Exam 2020 will be given scooty: HBS

August 18: In a significant announcement, State Education Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “22,000 female students who secured first division in Higher Secondary Examination, 2020 will be awarded with scooties this year.” The minister was addressing the media at Janata Bhawan, Guwahati on Tuesday.

In my endeavour to implement each of my budgetary announcements, today I have proudly announced that 22000 girls students who secured 1st division in the higher secondary examination will get one Scooty before 15th October. Himanta Biswa Sarma further said, “We will now be providing the regular petrol scooties in general. But if any female student wishes to receive an electric scooty over an automated petrol vehicle, they may do so. In this connection, the state government will launch a new website sebaonline.org, wherein the students will have to log in, get registered and choose to mention their choice of variant. However,  if anybody fails to do so, she will be given the automatic petrol scooty.”
