বীক্ষণে ১৬ ভাষায় ২১টি ছবি
21st Beekshan Film Festival to begin on 2 January

২ জানুয়ারি : বীক্ষণের সিনে কমিউনের উদ্যোগে বুধবার থেকে শিলচর গান্ধীভবনে শুরু হচ্ছে ২১তম বার্ষিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসব। সন্ধ্যা ৫টায় এই উৎসবের সূচনা করবেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যলয়ের অধ্যাপক দুর্বা দেব। এ বারের চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে ১৩টি দেশের মোট ১৬ ভাষায় ২১টি ছবি প্রদর্শিত হবে।

৫ দিনের এই প্রদর্শনী ২ জানুয়ারি থেকে ৬ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত চলবে। এ দিন এই প্রদর্শনী শুরু হবে অতনু ঘোষের ‘ময়ুরাক্ষী’ ছবি দিয়ে। পরের ছবিটি পোলান্ডের আফটার ইমেজ। প্রথম দিন দুটি ছবি দেখানো হবে। তবে বাকি সব দিনই সকাল ১১টা থেকে মোট ৫টি করে ছবি দেখানো হবে।

দ্বিতীয় দিন ৫টি ছবির মধ্যে রয়েছে নেপালের ‘দ্য ব্ল্যাক হেন’, কান্নাড়া ছবি ‘লুসিয়া’, হিন্দি ছবি ‘নীল বাত্তে সান্নাটা’, বাংলা ছবি ‘সহজ পথের গপ্প’ ও জার্মানির ছবি ‘হেড অন’। ৪ জানুয়ারি সকাল ১১টায় দেখানো হবে মালি ছবি ‘বামাকো’ ১টায় মারাঠি ছবি ‘কিল্লা’, সোয়া তিনটেয় হিন্দি ছবি ‘অ্যা ডেথ ইন দ্য গুঞ্জ’ সাড়ে ৫টায় বাংলা ছবি ‘প্রজাপতি বিস্কুট’ এবং রাত ৮টায় ইরানের ছবি ‘ডিসঅ্যাপিয়ারেন্স’।

৫ জানুয়ারির প্রথম ছবি ইটালির ‘ফায়ার অ্যাট দ্য সি’, এরপর ক্রমান্বয়ে দেখানো হবে বাংলা ছবি ‘কাঙ্গাল মালসাত’, হিন্দি ছবি ‘বিয়ন্ড দ্য ক্লাউডস’, বাংলা ছবি ‘সমান্তরাল’ ও স্পেনের ছবি ‘অ্যা ফ্যানটাস্টিক উওম্যান’। শেষের দিন ৬ জানুয়ারি সব মিলিয়ে রয়েছে ৪টি ছবি, এর মধ্যে সকাল ১১টায় আমেরিকার ছবি ‘লর্ড অব দ্য ফাইল’, ১টায় হিন্দি ছবি ‘মান্তো’, সোয়া তিনটেয় হিন্দি ছবি ‘বায়োস্কোপ ওয়ালা’ এবং সাড়ে ৫টায় বাংলা ছবি ‘হামি’।

এই চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে অয়িঋদ্ধি স্পর্শমণি ফাউন্ডেশনের সহযোগিতায় এক মুক্ত সিনে কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। এই কুইজ শেষের দিন সমাপ্তি ছবিটি দেখানোর আগে হবে। এতে যারা অংশ নেবেন তাঁরা ইতিমধ্যেই নাম নথিভুক্ত করেছেন।

January 2: The 5-day long 21st Beekshan Film Festival organised by Beekshan Cine Commune is to kick start from 2 January and will continue till 6 January 2019. prof. Durba Deb of Assam University will inaugurate this fest. A total of 21 films in 16 different languages from 13 nations will be shown during this Film Festival. Last year (2018) Beekshan Cine Commune arranged 17 films in 11 languages from 6 nations. So in this comparison, Beeshan will have in store more films encompassing more nations and languages in 2019. The film festival will be organised at Silchar Gandhi Bhavan.

An Open Cine Quiz in association with Ayiriddhi Sparshamani Foundation will also be organised in this connection. This will take place on 6 January (Sunday) before the closing film is screened. For participating in the show delegates get get themselves registered at Beekshan office at Harikripa Complex, Near V2 Mall, Tulapatty Silchar on any day till 1 January from 4 PM to 9 PM.

The inaugural ceremony of the 21st Beekshan Film Festival will take place at 5 PM on 2 January 2019. The brief inauguration will pave the way for the screening of the inaugural film entitled ‘Mayurakshi’. This will be a 120 minutes film in Bengali, which is Directed by Atanu Ghosh. This will be followed by ‘Afterimage’, a 98 minutes Polish film directed by Andrej Wajda at 8 PM.

On the second day, that is, 3 January, 2019 (Thursday), film lovers will have the opportunity to view 5 films. The morning show, which starts at 11 AM will feature a Nepali film ‘The Black Hen’. It is a 90 minute film directed by Mir Bahadur Bham. The next show at 1 PM will be a Kannada film ‘Lucia’ directed by Pawan kumar and its duration is 135 minutes. This will be followed by a Hindi film ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari at 3.15 PM. ‘A Bengali film ‘Sohoj Pather Goppo’ Directed by Manas Mukul Paul will be screened at 5.30 PM. it’s a short film of 88 minutes duration. The last show at 8 PM will be German film ‘Head on’ which is a 121 minutes film directed by Fatih Akin.

On 4 January (Friday), the morning show will start at 11 with a Mali film ‘Bamako’ directed by Abderrahmane Sissako, which is of a duration of 113 minutes. This will be followed by a Marathi film ‘Killa’ at 11 AM. It is a 110 minutes film directed by Avinash Arun. The afternoon show at 3.15 will have for the cine goers a Hindi film ‘A Death in the Gunj’ directed by Konkona Sen Sharma and will be of 110 minutes duration. This will be followed by a Bengali film ‘Projapoti Biscuit’, a 145 minutes film directed by Anindya Chatterjee. The last film of the day will be an Iranian one entitled ‘Disappearance’ directed by Ali Asgari.

The 4th day (Saturday) will witness a total of 5 films. The show will begin at 11 AM with ‘Italian film ‘Fire at the Sea’ directed by Gianfranco Rosi and will be followed by a Bengali film ‘Kangal Malsat’ at 1 PM, which is directed by Suman Mukherjee. At 3.15 Hindi film ‘Beyond the Clouds’ directed by Majid Majidi will be screened. Bengali film ‘Samantaral’ will be shown at 5.30 PM which is directed by Partha Chakraborty. The last show will be a film from Chile ‘A Fantastic Woman’ which is directed by Sebastian Lelio.

On the final day, that is, on 6 January, 2019 (Sunday), American film ‘Lord of Flies’ directed by Harry Hook will be shown at 11 AM. This will be followed by a Hindi film ‘Manto’ at 1 PM, which is directed by Nandita Das. At 3.15 PM, Hindi film ‘Bioscopewala’ will be shown which is directed by Deb Medhekar. The closing film of this festival ‘Haami’ in Bengali directed by Shiboprasad & Nandita will be shown at 5.30 PM.
