2190 patients discharged in Assam on Monday
August 24: On Monday, 2190 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, a total of 73,090 patients got cured in the state and were subsequently discharged. At present, there are 19,274 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2190 patients discharged today. Gratifying that number of recovered patients in Assam is more than 3.5 times the number of active patients.”
Also, 1879 new cases of novel coronavirus were reported from various parts of Assam on Monday. With this, the state tally has now gone upto 92,619, out of which, 21,464 are active cases. Further, another 10 persons lost their lives in Assam after being infected with novel coronavirus. With this, the death toll in the state due to COVID-19 has now gone upto 252.
