2020 patients discharged in Assam on Friday
Sept. 4: On Friday, 2020 patients were discharged in Assam on Friday. With this a total of 92,717 patients were discharged in the state. At present, there are 28,159 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “2020 patients discharged today Round of applause for teams of doctors, nurses and health officials. Kudos.”
Also, Assam registered 2891 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Friday. With this, the state tally has now reached 1,21,224, out of which 30,197 are active cases. Further, Karimganj district in Barak Valley recorded its single-day biggest spike of 175 positive cases during the day. Further, during the day, 15 persons died due to COVID-19 in Assam, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 345.
