20 tests Covid positive in Cachar on Thursday, 65 discharged

There are 209 active cases in Cachar

Feb. 3: The number of coronavirus cases in Cachar district is gradually decreasing. The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at 5.42 PM. As per the latest data, a total of 20 persons were found positive in the district on 3 February. Also, 65 patients were discharged (44 from home & 21 from hospital) during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 209, out of which, 162 are in home isolation whereas 47 are admitted in various hospitals of the district. On Wednesday, 26 persons were found positive in Cachar. The death toll in Cachar due to Covid has reached 31 this year.

As per the updated data, a total of 1,501 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 17 persons were found positive, whereas 03 were detected positive out of 343 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,299 whereas during this phase, 6,059 patients were discharged. There has been a gradual decrease in the number of daily positive cases in Cachar district. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 2 February to 5 PM on 3 February) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 3 February, there were 13 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patients were put under ventilator support, but 04 were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patient was admitted at SMCH but 03 were discharged. A total of 02 patients were detected positive in RAT at SMCH and 01 in RTPCR on Thursday.
