2 found Covid+ve in Hailakandi & none in Karimganj on Saturday

Dec. 18: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Saturday, Hailakandi registered 02 new COVID-19 cases. The district has altogether has 07 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 724 RAT tests and 80 RT-PCR tests were done. No patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,930 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,496 patients were discharged. It needs mention here 02 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Friday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,377 persons were vaccinated on Saturday.

Karimganj registered no fresh COVID cases on Saturday. The district has currently 17 active COVID cases, while 02 patients were discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Saturday. 604 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 03 persons were detected positive in Karimganj on Friday.
