2 found Covid +ve in Cachar on 8 November
Active cases 38 in Cachar, 7 discharged
Nov. 8: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Monday at night. As per the latest data, a total of 2 persons were found positive in the district on 8 November. Also, 07 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 38. It needs mention here that on Sunday, 02 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 2,192 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 01 person was found positive, whereas 01 more was detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 20,336 whereas during this phase, 20,082 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 38 active patients:
07 of them are admitted at SMCH
01 at MH
05 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
00 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
25 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 7 November to 5 PM on 8 November) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Monday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 8 November, there were 02 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and also none were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 of them was discharged.
