1,951 found Covid +ve in Assam, 7,365 discharged & 21 deaths registered on Wednesday

Jan. 26: On Wednesday, out of 19,803 tests, 1,951 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 7,04,853. The positivity rate in the state is 9.85 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 422 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 21 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,338. The recovery rate is 93 percent. Also, 6,359 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 36,063 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 4,189 persons tested positive in Assam and 19 deaths were registered.
