1929 patients discharged in Assam on Sunday

August 16: On Sunday, 1929 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, 55,215 persons were discharged as of now in the state. Further, 1317 tested positive in Assam. With this, 76,875 persons in the state were infected by coronavirus, out of which, 23,397 are active cases. Moreover, during the day, another 7 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally to 189. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1929 patients discharged today The difference between recovered & active patients is a true reflection of dedication of our medical teams.”
