1795 patients discharged in Assam on Monday
Sept. 21: On Monday, 1795 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,29,130 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in the state. At present, there are 29,609 active cases in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “795 patients discharged today As a result of selfless efforts of our doctors & health officials, our recovery rate is 81.05% now.”
On Monday,a total of 35,603 tests were done in the state, out of which, 2640 were detected as positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,59,320. Further, during the day, another 16 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 578.
