1537 tests +ve in Assam on Sunday, tally rises to 1,25,459

Sept. 6: On Sunday, Assam registered 1537 new cases of novel coronavirus. With this, the state tally of COVID-19 has now gone upto 1,25,459. State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote, “Alert ~ 1537 #COVID cases detected today out of 23336 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 6.58% Kamrup M- 382; Hojai- 125; Dibrugarh- 108.”

Further, Assam registered 8 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Sunday, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 360.
