1,528 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Monday, 1,830 discharged & 26 deaths registered
There are 13,582 active Covid cases in Assam
July 26: On Monday, out of 1,66,846 tests, 1,528 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,60,019. The positivity rate in the state is 0.92 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 199 positive cases during the day. Further, on Monday, 26 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,162. The recovery rate is 96.41 percent.
It needs mention here that on Sunday, 1,054 persons tested positive in Assam and 22 deaths were registered.
On Monday, 1,830 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,39,928 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 96.41 percent. At present, there are 13,582 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 26 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 26 deceased, 05 are from Jorhat & Sivasagar; 04 from Kamrup Rural; 02 each from Goalpara, Sonitpur & Tinsukia; 01 each from Cachar, Golaghat, Kamrup Metro, Karbi Anglong, Kokhrajhar & Nalbari. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,162.
