1519 patients discharged in Assam on Monday
August 17: On Monday, 1519 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres in Assam. With this, 56,734 patients were discharged in the state as of now. Further, 2792 active cases were registered in Assam. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus cases has gone upto 79,667, out of which, 24,252 are active cases. Further, eight more positive patients have succumbed to COVID-19 infections in Assam on Monday, taking the state’s death toll to 197.
In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1519 patients discharged today Another good day when so many recovered patients are heading back to their families. Good job doctors & nurses!”
