14 doctors & 42 paramedical staff released from quarantine facility in Silchar
April 24: The 2nd batch of health workers of Cachar district were discharged from quarantine facilities on Friday. A total of 14 doctors and 42 paramedical staff who were engaged in the treatment of COVID-19 patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) were discharged. They were discharged from the quarantine facilities at Ellora Hotel and Hotel Kalpataru. This information was updated from DIPR Cachar at 11.24 PM on Friday after confirming the same from Dr. Abjijit Swami.
All of them were discharged in a ceremonial programme which was attended by Parimal Shuklabaidya- Minister, Govt. of Assam. Dr. Rajdeep Roy- MP, Silchar, Barnali Sharma DC Cachar, Dr. Babul Bezbaruah, Principal, SMCH, Dr. Sudip Jyoti Das, Jt. Director of Health Services and Dr. Abhijit Swami, Superintendent of SMCH. The doctors and paramedical staff were felicitated by the dignitaries for their selfless and dedicated service towards humanity. It needs mentioned here that 5 doctors were released from quarantine facility at Cachar Club on 22 April.
