119 found Covid +ve in Assam on Thursday, active cases 2,957 in the state

Aug 18: On Thursday, out of 6,214 tests, 119 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,43,341. The positivity rate in the state is 1.92 percent. Out of the 119 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Dibrugarh (17), Kamrup Metro (15), Goalpara (12), Kamrup Rural (11) and Tinsukia (09).

Further, on Thursday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,669. The recovery rate is 98.5 percent. 138 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,32,356 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 2,957 active Covid patients in the state. On Wednesday, 174 persons were detected Covid-19 positive in Assam.
