1,179 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Friday, 1,441 discharged & 20 deaths registered
There are 12,485 active Covid cases in Assam
July 30: On Friday, out of 1,12,132 tests, 1,299 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,65,209. The positivity rate in the state is 1.05 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 144 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 20 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,241. The recovery rate is 96.63 percent.
It needs mention here that on Thursday, 1,299 persons tested positive in Assam and 20 deaths were registered.
On Friday, 1,441 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 5,46,136 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 96.63 percent. At present, there are 12,485 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 20 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 20 deceased, 03 each are from Barpeta & Jorhat; 02 each from Biswanath, Chirang, Kamrup Metro & Tinsukia; 01 each from Baksa, Charaideo, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Kamrup rural & Nagaon. The death tally of the state now stands at 5,241.
