1178 grams heroine seized, 3 arrested in Cachar

way2barak November 9: On receipt of an information regarding transportation of suspected NDPS contrabands by a white colour Bolero pick up bearing Regd. no-AS-11-EC-7130 from Manipur via Mizoram towards Silchar, Cachar Police conducted a special ops at NH-306 in front of Lailapur P.P. under Dholai PS.

During the search recovered total of 94 nos of Plastic soap cases containing suspected Heroine.

The total weight of suspected Heroine is 1178.15 gm(without soap case).The drug detection kit also showed positive result for Heroin.

1. 03 nos of mobile handset

2. ⁠Bolero pickup vehicle bearing RC no AS-11-EC-7130 Team apprehended three persons namely –

1. Bailhing Koki D/o-Thanghen Koki,R/o-Pangmoul,PS-Gularthal

Dist.-Tamenglong,Manipur,

2. Kimneilhai Doungel,

C/o-Haokhosem Doungel,

R/o-L cilon,PS-Churachandpur,

Present R/o-Thangnom,PS-Gularthal,

Dist-Tamenglong,Manipur and

3. Henkholun Doungel,

S/o-Haogen Doungel,

R/o-Thingtuhbung village,PS-Gularthal,Dist.-

Tamenglong,Manipur were apprehended.

All search and seizure done under videography in presence of Independent Witnesses.

Further legal action into the matter has been on vide Dholai PS Case No. 137/2025, U/S. 21(c)/25/29 of NDPS Act.
