113 students studying in Gujarat starts journey by bus to Assam
May 17: Many hoped that the 4th edition of Lockdown would see resuming of airline services. However, the guidelines released by the MHA further restricted air travel. Even railway services continued to be cancelled except for the special trains. Still now many persons of Assam are stranded outside the state. On Sunday, 113 students of Assam who are studying in different colleges in Gujarat have started their journey. They have boarded buses from 14 different locations.
Taking to his twitter handle, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Studying at different colleges in Gujarat,113 students of Assam started their journey for state today,boarding buses from 14 different locations. Thanks to @ABVPVoice #Gujarat & @pradipsinhbjp for arranging the travel,cost of which was shared by few of my good friends.”

As per protocol, once they enter Assam, all of them will be screened and kept under strict institutional quarantine for 14 days as per protocol.
