1 more tests +ve at late night in Assam, total rises to 95
17 May: Saturday night seemed to be one of great worry for the people at Assam. Late in the night at 2.33 AM, State Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that another person has tested coronavirus positive.
Sharing the information, Himanta tweeted, “Alert ~ One young boy from Sibsagar test #COVID19 positive. He is at present in our Jorhat Quarantine Centre.”

That means, the total tally of COVID-19 patients in the state has gone up to 95. However, out of the95 patients, 41 were already discharged. Two persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 and another two of them migrated. So at present, there are 50 active COVID-19 cases in Assam.
