1 more COVID-19 patient discharged, total 19 cured in Assam
April 20: Assam is gradually treading on the path of becoming corona-free state. On Monday, a patient was released from Sonapur Civil Hospital. In the afternoon, another COVID-19 patient was released from Telahi Model Hospital, Basagaon, Lakhimpur after his 3 successive tests were negative. He was sent for 14 days home quarantine. This was informed by Assam Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday afternoon.
Taking to his twitter handle, the health minister wrote, “Babu Ali, a #COVID19 patient, has been discharged today from Telahi Model Hospital, Basagaon, Lakhimpur. His 3 successive tests were negative. Cured patients -19 Request him and family members to ensure compliance of home quarantine guidelines.” The health minister was accompanied by Minister of State Pijush Hazarika.
Babu Ali, a #COVID19 patient, has been discharged today from Telahi Model Hospital, Basagaon, Lakhimpur. His 3 successive tests were negative.

With this, out of 34 coronavirus positive patients in the state, 19 were cured and discharged for compulsory home quarantine as per the protocol. One person died, while 14 are still undergoing treatment.
