1 each found Covid positive in Hailakandi & Karimganj on Wednesday

Sept. 29: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Wednesday, Hailakandi registered 01 new COVID-19 case. The district has altogether 08 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 529 RAT tests and 70 RT-PCR tests were done. No patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,894 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,463 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that no person was found positive in Hailakandi on Tuesday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 288 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday.

Karimganj registered 01 fresh COVID cases on Wednesday. The district has currently 09 active COVID cases, while no patients has been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Wednesday. 1,064 swab samples were collected during the day.
