Track still not cleared in hill section, passengers in uncertainty

২৫ সেপ্টেম্বরঃ বুধবার দুপুরের আগে পাহাড় লাইনে ট্র্যাক মেরামতির কাজ সম্পন্ন হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা নেই। তার পরেই বিভাগীয় প্রক্রিয়া মেনে ক্লিয়ারেন্স সার্টিফিকেট আদায় ও  মালগাড়ি চালানো। নিরাপদে মালগাড়ি দুর্ঘটনাস্থল পেরিয়ে গেলে যাত্রীবাহী ট্রেনের চলাচল শুরু হবে। উত্তর-পূর্ব সীমান্ত রেল আগেই জানিয়ে দিয়েছে, বুধবারের শিলচর-গুয়াহাটি (৫৫৬১৬) এবং গুয়াহাটি-শিলচর (৫৫৬১৫) প্যাসেঞ্জার ট্রেন বাতিল করা হয়েছে। সে দিনের অন্য ট্রেনগুলি নিয়ে অবশ্য এখনও সিদ্ধান্ত হয়নি।

কর্তৃপক্ষ চাইছেন, ট্রেন বাতিল না করে কত দ্রুত ট্র্যাক মেরামতি সেরে সেগুলিকে চালানো যায়। মঙ্গলবারের শিলচর-ত্রিবান্দ্রম (১২৫১৬) এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনটি বাতিল করা হয়েছে। এ দিনের শিয়ালদহ-শিলচর কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা এক্সপ্রেস (১৩১৭১) লামডিং পর্যন্ত চালানো হয়। বুধবার এই ট্রেনটিই ১৩১৭৬ হিসেবে শিলচরের বদলে লামডিং থেকে নির্ধারিত সূচি মেনে যাত্রা শুরু করবে। অন্যদিকে, ত্রিবান্দ্রম থেকে যে ট্রেন (১২৫১৫) ২৩ সেপ্টেম্বর শিলচরের উদ্দেশে রওয়ানা হয়েছিল, একে লামডিংয়ে এনে বাতিল করা হয়েছে। একইভাবে দেওঘর থেকে আগরতলার উদ্দেশে সোমবার ট্রেনটি (১২৫২৬) রওয়ানা হয়েছিল, সেটিও লামডিঙে বাতিল হয়ে গিয়েছে।

সোমবার সকালে সারবোঝাই মালগাড়ি দাওতোহাজা ও ফাইডিংয়ের মধ্যবর্তী স্থানে দুর্ঘটনায় পড়ার দরুন পাহাড় লাইনে ট্রেন চলাচল বন্ধ রয়েছে।

September 25: There seems to be no probability of the railway track being repaired in the hill section before Wednesday afternoon. As per the departmental procedure, once the tracks are repaired, Railways will give clearance certificate, after which goods train will first run through the repaired portion. If the goods train passes safely through the repaired part of the track, then only passengers train will be allowed to operate. NF Railways have already declared Silchar-Guwahati (55616) and Guwahati-Silchar (55615) Passenger Train of Wednesday to be cancelled. However, no decision was taken about the other trains scheduled on Wednesday.

The railway authorities are trying to complete the repairing work on a war footing so that the other trains can ply as per their schedule. On Tuesday, Silchar-Trivandrum (12516) Express Train was cancelled. On the same day, Sealdah-Silchar Express (13171) was run upto Lumding. On Wednesday, this train (13176) will depart from Lumding instead of Silchar. Meanwhile, the train (12515) which departed from Trivandrum for Silchar on 23 September could reach only upto Lumding. In the similar way, Agartala bound train (12526) from Deogarh was also cancelled after it reached Lumding.

Movement of trains in the hill section came to a standstill after a goods trains derailed in a place between Daotahaja and Faiding on last Monday.
