DC Cachar inspects construction work of an extra oxygen generation plant at SMCH

May 27: Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jallia visited Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) along with Jyotish Sharma, OSD PWD to inspect ongoing construction works of an extra oxygen generation plant. She also visited Covid ward for expansion of oxygen ICU beds at Silchar Medical College & Hospital and urged upon the contractor to expedite works.

Later on, DC Jalli informed that the construction work is being undertaken on war footing to accommodate more and more patients who are in need of oxygen. In a social media post, the Deputy Commissioner informed, “Medical staff is hard pressed serving so many patients night and day with doctors feeding patients on ventilators, cleaning wards if need be and taking care of patients comforts.”
