Many trains including Silchar- Guwahati Express to remain cancelled between 9-14 March due to non-interlocking work

March 6: In a notification issued by the Dy. Com from NF Railway headquarters on 6 March, 2022, it was informed that many trains will stand cancelled primarily from 9 March to 14 March. The prime reason for such cancellation, short termination and diversion of trains is due to non-interlocking work at several places , for the commission of double line in Digaru- Hojai section. Hence certain trains in the Badarpur and Guwahti along with many other trains in this route were cancelled.

The notification read: “Non- Interlocking work at Jagiroad, Ajuri, Sonuabari & Dharamtul stations of LMG division will be conducted from 09.03.22 to 14.03.22 for the commission of double line in Digaru-Hojai section(.) In this connection the competent authority has granted traffic block for 5.00 hours from 09.00 to 14.00 hrs on 09.03.22, 10.03.22, 11.03.22, 12.03.22, 13.03.22& 14.03.22,” a statement said. In view of the above Non-Interlocking work, movement of following trains will be impacted among others.”
