শিলচর আদালত চত্বর সংলগ্ন মাস্ক বিক্রয় কেন্দ্রের উদ্বোধন করলেন সাংসদ

৩ মে : সাংসদ রাজদীপ রায় কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসক বর্ণালী শর্মার উপস্থিতিতে রবিবার শিলচরে জেলাশাসকের কার্যালয়ের বিপরীতে থাকা আদালত চত্বরের পাশে একটি মাস্ক বিক্রয় কেন্দ্রের উদ্বোধন করেন। আসাম রাজ্য গ্রামীণ জীবিকা অভিযানের শিলচর ব্লক মিশন ম্যানেজমেন্ট ইউনিটের এবং আত্মসহায়ক দল কর্তৃক এই মাস্ক বিক্রয় কেন্দ্র স্থাপনের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়।

মাস্ক বিক্রয় কেন্দ্রের উদ্বোধন করে সাংসদ বলেন, চলতি কোভিড-১৯ মহামারি সংক্রমণের সময়ে আত্মসহায়ক দলের সদস্যরা স্বল্প ব্যয়ে একটি ভালো কাজ করেছেন, যার দ্বারা সাধারণ মানুষও এই মহামারি সংক্রমণ থেকে নিজেদের রক্ষা করতে সমর্থ হবেন। তিনি আরও বলেন, আরও কীভাবে এ ধরনের বিক্রয় কেন্দ্রের উন্নতি করতে পারা যায় এর জন্য তিনি সচেষ্ট থাকবেন। জেলাশাসক প্রত্যেক সদস্যকে এ ধরনের প্রশংসনীয় উদ্যোগের জন্য ধন্যবাদ জানান এবং তিনি তাদের উৎসাহ দেন।

অনুষ্ঠানে অন্যদের মধ্যে কাছাড় জেলা পরিষদের সভাপতি অমিতাভ রাই এবং জেলা পরিষদের চিফ এক্সিকিউটিভ অফিসার দীপশিখা দে সহ ডিআরডিএ-র স্পেশাল এক্সিকিউটিভ অফিসার রসরাজ দাস, কাছাড়ের ব্লক মিশন ম্যানেজমেন্টের ডিপিএম সৌমিত্র দে, সহকারী কমিশনার তথা বিডিও নবনীতা হাজরিকা প্রমুখ অংশ নেন। উল্লেখ্য, এ পর্যন্ত কাছাড় জেলায় বিভিন্ন স্থানে এ ধরনের মাস্ক বিক্রয় কেন্দ্র স্থাপনের মাধ্যমে ১১ লক্ষ ৬০ হাজার ৮ টাকা জেলার বিভিন্ন আত্মসহায়ক গোষ্ঠীসমূহ উপার্জন করেছে। মোট ১২ লক্ষ ৬৭৭৮টি মাস্ক তৈরি করে ৬১৩৯৬টি মাস্ক বিক্রয় করা হয়েছে এবং মোট ৭৬৯১টি মাস্ক বিনামূল্যে বিতরণ করা হয়।

May 03: A mask selling center has been set up near the court premises, opposite the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Silchar on Sunday. The initiative was taken by the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Campaign. The mask selling center was formally  inaugurated by MP, Silchar, Dr Rajdeep Roy in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Barnali Sharma.

Inaugurating the mask selling center on the occasion, Dr Rajdeep Roy said that the initiative taken during the current COVID-19 epidemic has created a vital source of income for the members of the self-help group during the lockdown to protect the common man from the epidemic. While attending the inaugural function, Deputy Commissioner Barnali Sharma thanked and encouraged all the members for such commendable initiatives.

Amitabh Rai, President, Cachar Zila Parishad, Deepshikha Dey, Chief Executive Officer, Cachar Zila Parishad,  Rasraj Das, Special Executive Officer, DRDA, Soumitra Dey, DPM, Block Mission Management, Cachar, and  Navanita Hazarika, Assistant Commissioner were also present on the occasion.

It needs mention here that till date, by setting up such mask selling outlets in different places in Cachar district, various self help groups of the district have produced 1,26,778 masks out of which 61,396 masks were sold and they earned Rs. 11,60,008 by selling these face masks.  A total of 7691 masks were distributed free of cost.
