Ten Indian athletes bagged more than one medal at CWG 2022
Aug. 8: India won 6 more medals including 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals on the final day of the Commonwealth Games 2022. India reached on the 4th spot with total 61 medals (22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze). President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and Indians from all corners of the country congratulated medal winners for their achievements.
Ten Indian athletes bagged more than one medal at CWG 2022. Table tennis player Sharath Kamal bagged a total of four medals, including three gold and one silver. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran bagged a gold, silver and bronze across table tennis events. Further, seven shuttlers, including PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen, bagged two medals each. Squash player Saurav Ghosal won two bronze.
