48 hours petrol pump bandh called by NEIPDA; 10-point charter of demands released

Oct. 20: In a recent development, the North East India Petroleum Dealers’ Association (NEIPDA) has called for a 48-hours shut down of petrol pumps in Guwahati from October 22 to October 24.

NEIDPA has raised a 10-point charter of demands in support of the bandh called by them, which includes, Placement of TTs under EOI, Frequent Refusal of Contractors to load TTs at their whims, Entry of dealer/RO staff to escort the TT from the TOP TT parking area, Illegal deduction from SAP accounts, Forceful selling of Lubricants by HPCL, Unauthorized and faulty Automation, Blending of Ethanol, Inequal Credit Facility, Personal Information upload in e-ledger and Legal position of the OMCs vis-a-vis the dealer.

The petrol pumps will remain closed from 6 AM of October 22 to 6 AM of October 24.
