Parimal Suklabaidya unfurls the tricolour in Silchar on 72nd Republic Day

Jan. 26: On the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day, Minister of Excise, Forest & Environment and Fisheries, Government of Assam, Parimal Suklabaidya unfurled the National Flag at Silchar Police Parade Ground in presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli. He then inspected the guard of honour. Taking to his twitter handle, the minister wrote, “Unfurled the National Flag & inspected the guard of honour on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day today at Silchar Parade ground.” Students and NCC cadets from various institutions of Cachar also participated in the parade.

In his speech, Parimal Suklabaidya said, “This day holds immense speciality & love in the heart of every Indian highlighting the highest spirit of patriotism.” He upholded the importance of the day and said, “It’s a matter of immense pride for us that India as a Republic has passed 72 glorious years.” He also paid deep tribute to Dr. BR Ambedkar, the father of the constitution and the other members of the Constituent Assembly.
