Know the symptoms of BF.7 strain of Omicron COVID-19 variant creating havoc in China

way2barak, Dec.23: Omicron subvariant BF.7, the variant responsible for the recent spike in coronavirus cases in China, has become a global threat. The new Omicron variant spreads quickly and has a shorter incubation time. Till now, around 4 such cases were detected in India. The BF.7 strain of Omicron COVID-19 variant mainly causes upper respiratory infection, according to reports quoting Chinese experts.

Common Symptoms of Omicron subvariant BF.7 strain: 

• Fever
• sore throat
• runny nose and cough
• stomach-related symptoms like vomiting and diarrhoea

Those with weakened immune systems and pre-existing medical issues are more prone to develop serious diseases. The risk of contracting this virus is higher in those who are not vaccinated or have weak immune systems, including the elderly, children, pregnant women, and people with several co-morbidities.
