4,682 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Tuesday, 4,992 discharged & 51 deaths registered

There are 51,333 active cases in the state

June 1: On Tuesday, out of 1,15,513 tests, 4,682 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,15,898. The positivity rate in the state is 4.05 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 403 positive cases during the day. Further, on Tuesday, 51 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,416. The recovery rate is 86.51 percent.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 4,384 persons tested positive in Assam and 65 deaths were registered.

On Tuesday, 4,992 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 3,59,802 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 86.51 percent. At present, there are 51,333 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 51 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 51 deceased, 07 are from Kamrup Metro; 06 are from Dibrugarh; 05 from Kamrup Rural; 04 each from Cachar, Hojai, Nagaon, Sivasagar & Tinsukia; 03 each from Darrang & Jorhat; 02 each from Goalpara & Kokhrajhar; 01 each from Baksa, bongaigaon & Sonitpur. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,416.
