Streets in Silchar wear a deserted look on Friday night as temperature dips below 10 degree

Jan. 28: Silchar on Friday night reported a considerable drop in mercury which affected the routine life while roads wore a deserted look as people seemed to prefer staying inside their houses. As per the Met department, the maximum temperature of Silchar was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius on Friday, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius at 11.58 PM. However, as per weather forecast, the temperature would dip to 7 degrees Celsius around 2 in the late night.

As per weather.com, the maximum temperature on 29 & 30 January will be 22 degrees Celsius and minimum will be 7 degrees Celsius. The citizens reeled under cold waves as the winds came in with speeds ranging between 11 and 14 km per hour. It was consecutively second ‘Cold Day’ for Silchar this year, while the Met officials have predicted weather conditions to remain the same for atleast next two few days.
