2132 tests +ve in Assam on Saturday, 23 fatality reported in the state

Sept. 12: On Saturday, 2132 positive cases were reported in Assam. With this, a total of 1,40,471 positive cases were reported in the state till now, out of which, 31,686 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2132 #COVID cases detected today out of 31253 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 6.82% Kamrup M- 562; Dibrugarh- 134; Jorhat-156; Lakhimpur- 132.”

Further, Assam registered its biggest single day spike of 23 deaths due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll to 453.
