Orientation on ‘Passport to Earning’ held at Assam University
‘পাসপোর্ট টু আর্নিং’ নিয়ে ওরিয়েন্টেশন প্রোগ্রাম আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১৬ সেপ্টেম্বর : নিশ্চিত কর্মসংস্থান ও উদ্যোক্তা হওয়ার জন্য শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রস্তুত করতে ‘পাসপোর্ট টু আর্নিং’-এর ওপর ওরিয়েন্টেশন প্রোগ্রাম আয়োজিত হল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। এনএসএস সেলের উদ্যোগে গতকাল আয়োজিত এই কর্মসূচিতে প্রধান বক্তা হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ইউনিসেফের প্রাক্তন রিজিওনাল ডিরেক্টর তথা পরামর্শদাতা দীপক কুমার।

উদ্বোধনী পর্বে স্বাগত বক্তব্য পেশ করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের এনএসএস সেলের প্রোগ্রাম কো-অর্ডিনেটর তথা সমাজকর্ম বিভাগের বরিষ্ঠ অধ্যাপক গঙ্গাভূষণ এম মোলাঙ্কল। তিনি প্রতিযোগিতামূলক ও গতিশীল পেশাদারী ক্ষেত্রে প্রবেশের জন্য শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে ‘পাসপোর্ট টু আর্নিং’ সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা গড়ে তোলার ওপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেন।

প্রধান বক্তা দীপক কুমার ইউনিসেফের ডিজিটাল প্ল্যাটফর্ম ‘পাসপোর্ট টু আর্নিং’ সম্পর্কে বিশদভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করার পাশাপাশি একবিংশ শতাব্দীর অপরিহার্য দক্ষতায় যুবাদের সজ্জিত হওয়ার ওপর জোর দেন। তিনি ডিজিটাল উৎপাদনশীলতা, আর্থিক সাক্ষরতা, কর্মসংস্থান ও উদ্যোক্তা হওয়ার দক্ষতা নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেন।

এদিন শিক্ষার্থীদের দক্ষতা বিকাশের জন্য বিনামূল্যে উপলব্ধ ‘পাসপোর্ট টু আর্নিং’ কোর্সে নিবন্ধন করানোরও ব্যবস্থা করা হয়। কর্মসংস্থান ও উদ্যোক্তা তৈরির ক্ষেত্রে তাৎক্ষণিক ব্যবস্থা নিতে দক্ষ হওয়ার জন্য আগামী সাত দিনের মধ্যে ইন্টারেক্টিভ সেশন সম্পন্ন করতে শিক্ষার্থীদের উৎসাহিত করা হয়। ইন্টারেক্টিভ সেশনে শিক্ষার্থীদের শৈক্ষিক ও পেশাদার উভয় ক্ষেত্রেই দক্ষতা প্রয়োগের জন্য ব্যবহারিক জ্ঞান ও কৌশল শেখানো হয়।

Way2barak, September 16 : The NSS Cell of Assam University organized an insightful orientation session on ‘Passport to Earning’ (P2E) for students. The session was delivered by Deepak Kumar, Former Regional Director and Consultant to UNICEF, who shared his expertise on equipping youth with essential 21st-century skills.

The event began with the felicitation of Deepak Kumar, followed by a welcome address from Prof. Gangabhushan M. Molankal, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, Assam University. In his remarks, Prof. Molankal emphasized the importance of creating awareness on ‘Passport to Earning’, particularly for students preparing to enter competitive and dynamic professional spaces.

In his address, Deepak Kumar provided a detailed note on the P2E program and highlighted its significance in enhancing students’ readiness for future opportunities. He elaborated on the core concepts featured in the session—Digital Productivity, Financial Literacy, Employability Skills, and Entrepreneurial Skills—and stressed their role in shaping students’ career pathways and empowering them for self-reliance.

At the end of the orientation, students were assisted in registering themselves for the freely available P2E course designed to further upgrade their skills. They were encouraged to complete the interactive sessions within the next seven days to maximize their learning and take immediate steps toward employability and entrepreneurship readiness.
The interactive session provided the students with practical knowledge and strategies to apply these skills in both academic and professional settings.
