Educational institutions & plying of pvt vehicles shall remain closed for another 48 hours

July 20: In continuation to the earlier order issued on 19 July, 2022, Keerthi Jail, Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Cachar in the backdrop of the river Barak crossing the danger level and in anticipation of heavy rainfall for next few days in Cachar District as per reports received from Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, has directed that all Educational Institutions (Govt. or Private) & Non-Essential Private Establishments of Cachar District shall remain closed for next 48 hours.

She further stated that,  “The plying of vehicles (two wheelers/ three wheelers/ four wheelers) which is causing much difficulty in rescue & relief operations in the district are hereby restricted for next 24 hours.” This order issued on Sunday shall be effective from 6.00 AM of 21 June, 2022 and will remain in force for next 48 hours.
