Around 7 cabinet ministers visit Hailakandi, takes stock of works of respective departments

way2barak, Nov.28: For the 1st time in the history of Barak Valley, the state cabinet meeting is going to take place in Silchar on 29 November, 2022. Almost all the cabinet ministers have reached Silchar on Monday. Around 7 cabinet ministers visited Hailakandi district on Monday and took stock of the development works of their respective departments.

Minister, Housing and Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal chaired a review meeting in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi, Hivare Nisarg Gautam, ADC, ULB, Hailakandi  Jyotirmoy Daimary, Chairman, Hailakandi Municipal Board, Chairperson, Lala Municipal Board, Executive Officer, Lala Municipal Board, Ward Commissioners and other staff of Municipal Board, Hailakandi. The Minister reviewed all the schemes such as SBM (U), PMAY (U), Property assessment, PM Svanidhi 14th FC,15th FC and other schemes regarding the same.

Ajanta Neog, Minister, of Finance and Women & Child Development, Assam visited Hailakandi district and took a brief review meeting of Hailakandi & Karimganj District. In the meeting, the Minister instructed both the districts to expedite the process of rationalisation and rationalised the maximum AWC. After the meeting, the Minister visited the Model AWCs constructed under the Hailakandi LA-6 area.

Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Information Technology, Science & Technology, Keshab Mahanta chaired a meeting at Mini Conference Hall, DC’s Office, Hailakandi in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi Hivare Nisarg Gautam, MLA LA-6, Hon’ble MLA LA-8, Representative of MLA LA-7, ADC Health, Hailakandi, Joint Director, Health, Hailakandi and other staff. The Minister took review on present status of Health and Family Welfare of the district.

Jogen Mohan handed over cheque of Rs.25,000 each under Chief Minister Relief Fund to three persons of  next of kin of those who died due to accidentally falling in a well under Algapur Revenue Circle today at the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi.

Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Education Minister visited Katlicherra Revenue Circle Office, Katlicherra today on to take review on Paddy Procurement, Flood Damage, Anganwadi, High Schools, Amrit Sarovar related matters in presence of Tridip Roy, ADC Hailakandi, Pulak Biswas ALRS, Circle Officer Katlicherra, Murchana Malakar, PRI Members and other line department officials.

A review meeting was held today for schemes under Panchayat & Rural Development Department in Hailakandi & Karimganj District under the Chairmanship of Ranjit Kumar Das, Minister, P&RD, Assam at Conference Hall of Zilla Parishad, Hailakandi. The Minister reviewed the progress of major schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY-G with CEO, ZP and BDOs. He has also given some directions and instructions for achieving the target.

Minister of Power, Mines & Minerals, Cooperation and Indigenous Tribal Faith & Cultural Department, Nandita Garlosa took a review meeting on APDCL in the Office Chamber of Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi.
