Out of 1,26,279 tests done on Tuesday, 1482 found +ve in Assam; 04 deaths registered

Oct. 13: On Tuesday, 1482 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,96,786 , out of which, 29,917 are active cases. During the day, 1,26,279 tests were done in Assam. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ Gives me confidence to share that our positivity rate continues to be very low at 1.17%. However, still we should not lower our guards. Today 1482 #COVID detected out of 126279 tests performed today ~ that’s 1 lakh + tests, second day in a row.”

Moreover, during the day, another 04 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 830.
