None found Covid +ve for 2nd consecutive day in Cachar on Friday

Feb. 18: The number of coronavirus cases in Cachar district is gradually decreasing. The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 11.23 PM. As per the latest data, none were found positive in the district on 18 February. Also, 03 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has gone down to 05, out of which, 01 is in home isolation whereas 04 are admitted in various hospitals of the district. It needs mention here that none were found positive on Thursday. The death toll in Cachar due to Covid has reached 36 this year.

As per the updated data, a total of 305 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, no person was found positive, whereas none were detected positive out of 153 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 Jan 2022 reached 6,417 whereas during this phase, 6,376 patients were discharged. Finally, there exists no active Covid-19 cases at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). The last 24 hours (5 PM on 17 February to 5 PM on 18 February) also did not witness the death any Covid-19 positive patient at SMCH. This was informed by Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.
