1020 patients discharged in Assam on Tuesday

Oct. 13: On Tuesday, 1020 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 1,67,065 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. At present, there are 28,897 active cases in Assam. In a tweet, State health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “1020 patients discharged today. 84.89% of our total patients have recovered. I appreciate the work by medical teams. Also, I advise people to keep taking precautions.”

On Tuesday, 1482 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now reached 1,96,786. During the day, 1,26,279 tests were done in Assam. Moreover, during the day, another 04 persons in the state died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of Assam to 830.
