2 earthquakes shook Tripura & Nagaland on Tuesday night

Feb. 24: An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale, jolted parts of Tripura at 11.46 pm on February 24. As per National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was stated, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.8, Occurred on 24-02-2021, 23:46:47 IST, Lat: 19.95 & Long: 91.03, Depth: 95 Km ,Location: 369km S of Belonia, Tripura, India.”

On the same night, another earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, jolted parts of Nagaland at 08.49 pm. The quake occurred at 99km ESE of Mokokchung, Nagaland. The quake originated at a depth of 83 kms.
