Customers of PNB can’t withdraw money from non-EMV ATMs from 1 Feb

Jan. 31: In a significant development, customers of Punjab National Bank (PNB) won’t be allowed to withdraw money from non-EMV ATMs from 1 February, 2021. Both financial and non-financial transactions will be restricted. PNB said that the step has been taken to protect its customers from fraudulent ATM activities. Non-EMV ATMs are those which read data through magnetic strips and do not hold the ATM card during the transaction.
