Delhi to vote on 8 February, Results on 11 February

January 06: The Election Commission of India on Monday declared that Delhi Assembly elections will be held in single phase on 8 February while results will be announced on 11 February, 2020. CEC Sunil Arora announced. that the notification for the nominations will be on 14 January, while the last date of filing nominations will be 22 January. The last date for withdrawal of nominations will be 24 January.

About 90,000 officials will be deployed for the conduct of elections. There are 13,750 polling stations in Delhi.

Led by Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power in Delhi in February 2015 sweeping 67 of the 70 Assembly seats. The term of the 70-member Delhi Assembly is ending on February 22 and a new House has to be constituted before that.
