Youth commits suicide after holding 2 of his friends responsible in social media

March 14: In a tragic incident, a youth from Sonai in Cachar district committed suicide, but prior to that, the youth took to his social media page where he held two of his friends responsible for his death. As per reports, the dead body of Joynal Ahmed alias Mon, a 21-year-old youth from Tulargram Part-II in Sonai, Cachar was recovered by the police hanging from a tree in the Sadbhavna Hall premises.

On Monday morning, a man of the locality first noticed that a youth was hanging from a tree when he was on his way to the mosque for offering prayers. Immediately, he brought the incident to the notice of others. On being informed, ASI of Sonai Police Station reached the spot along with forces and recovered the dead body.

It was learnt that before committing suicide, the deceased Joynal posted a video in social media, wherein he stated that there is no use leading a life of unemployment. He further held his two friends Raib and Bijoy responsible for choosing the path of death. In the 1 minute 23 seconds video, the youth was seen to cry and also laugh. He also sought apology from his friends. Meanwhile, this video has also become viral in social media.

The deceased used to work in a vehicle servicing centre at Majhergram. The unnatural death of the youth has evoked many questions and speculations were also ripe among the people of the locality. Police has began investigation into this incident.
