Women’s cell under IQAC of Radhamadhab College organises food fest & cooking competition

Jan. 29: In order to manifest the home management skills among the students, the Women’s Cell of Radhamadhab College, Silchar under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised food fest cum cooking competition in the college premises on Saturday. The cooking competition was organised in three categories: Pitha-Puli, veg items & non-veg items.

Around 28 female students of both HS and TDC participated in this interesting competition. The students displayed the items cooked by them. A keen enthusiasm was noticed among the students in general regarding the food fest. Dr Debashish Roy, Principal of the College and two IQAC Coordinators Sudarshan Gupta and Arunabha Bhattacharjee were the judges of the competition.

In the Pitha-Puli competition, Sonai Paul, Bulti Paul & Pritidipa Choudhury secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Nasrin Laskar, Jayashree Roy and Baishali Deb bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in cooking of  vegetarian items. In the non-veg category, Mandira Ghosh secured the 1st position. Api Paul & Tanushree Roy jointly bagged the 2nd position, whereas Bipasha Dhar got the 3rd prize.

Expressing her views, Nabanita Debnath, Convenor of Women’s Cell of RMC expressed thanks to all the students for their active participation. She also thanked the cell members, Dr Ashima Roy, Arundhuti Dutta Choudhury, Dr Sonali Choudhury, Dr Ruma Nath Choudhury, Swarnali Roy Choudhury and others for making the event a grand success.
