With 9 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 28 on 17 August
Active cases 160 in Cachar; 26 discharged on Tuesday
Aug 17: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Tuesday at late night. As per the latest data, 09 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 22 persons were found positive in the district on 17 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 19 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 160. This was informed by District Media Expert on Tuesday night. Also, 26 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Monday, 22 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 3,475 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 13 persons were found positive, whereas 15 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,506 whereas during this phase, 19,154 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 160 active patients:
32 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
28 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
08 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
11 at CRPF Doyapur
02 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
02 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
20 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
02 Palonghat Model Hospital
49 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 16 August to 5 PM on 17 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 17 August, there were 38 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 18 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 20 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 03 patients were put under ventilator support and 22 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 07 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 01 of them were discharged.
