With 8 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 19 on 19 August
Active cases 136 in Cachar; 23 discharged on Thursday
Aug 19: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at 10.50. As per the latest data, 08 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 19 persons were found positive in the district on 19 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 11 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 136. This was informed by District Media Expert on Thursday night. Also, 23 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 24 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 2,672 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 10 persons were found positive, whereas 09 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,541 whereas during this phase, 19,213 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 136 active patients:
32 of them are admitted at SMCH
08 at MH
21 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
06 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
11 at CRPF Doyapur
02 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
02 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
16 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
01 Palonghat Model Hospital
37 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 18 August to 5 PM on 19 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 19 August, there were 29 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 12 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 17 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 02 patients were put under ventilator support and 18 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 06 of them were discharged.
