With 32 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 93 on 2 July
Active cases 508 in Cachar; 118 discharged on Friday
July 2: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 10.50 PM. As per the latest data, 32 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 93 persons were found positive in the district on 2 July. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 61 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 508. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Friday night. Also, 118 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 75 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 12,627 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 57 persons were found positive, whereas 36 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,725, whereas during this phase, 17,049 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 508 active patients:
- 120 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 14 at MH
- 37 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 20 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 13 at CRPF Doyapur
- 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 12 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 00 at Valley Hospital
- 00 at South City Hospital
- 03 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
- 09 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 24 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 11 Palonghat Model Hospital
- 245 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley for more than a month with a gap of two days in between. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 1 July to 5 PM on 2 July) again did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 2 July, there were 104 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 46 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 58 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 12 patients were put under ventilator support and 72 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 19 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 35 of them were discharged.
