With 3 new COVID-19 cases, Assam’s tally reaches 100
Active cases 55 in Assam
May 17: Had it been cricket, it would have been a laudable event to reach the triple figure or in other words to make a century. But as regards the outbreak of COVID-19, it is indeed a mournful day for Assam to note that the total number of coronavirus patients in the state has now reached 100. Three new patients were infected with the virus in Guwahati. All 3 of them entered Assam recently from outside. Two of them came from Mumbai while one arrived from Bihar. All of them were in the quarantine centre at Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati.
Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ Three persons are tested #COVID19 + in Guwahati. Two of them came from Mumbai while one arrived from Bihar. All 3 are in Sarusajai quarantine centre.”
