With 22 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 48 on 27 June
Active cases 979 in Cachar; 216 discharged on Sunday
June 27: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Sunday at 10.15 PM. As per the latest data, 22 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 48 persons were found positive in the district on 27 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 26 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has come down to 957. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Sunday night. Also, 216 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Saturday, 114 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 2,216 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 26 persons were found positive, whereas 22 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,428, whereas during this phase, 16,284 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 979 active patients:
- 138 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 09 at MH
- 37 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 20 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 18 at CRPF Doyapur
- 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 14 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 00 at Valley Hospital
- 00 at South City Hospital
- 15 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
- 08 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 64 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 42 Palonghat Model Hospital
- 614 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley for more than a month. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 26 June to 5 PM on 27 June) did not witness the demise of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. This is ofcourse a ray of hope. On 25 June also, after 41 days, none died at SMCH due to Covid-19.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 27 June, there were 132 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 55 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 77 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 11 patients were put under ventilator support and 70 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 12 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 18 of them were discharged.
