With 21 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 96 on 24 June, 3 deaths at SMCH
Active cases 1,378 in Cachar; 387 discharged on Thursday
June 24: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Thursday at 11.20 PM. As per the latest data, 21 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 96 persons were found positive in the district on 24 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 75 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 1,387. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Thursday night. Also, 387 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Wednesday, 129 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 7,079 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 75 persons were found positive, whereas 21 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 17,087, whereas during this phase, 15,545 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 1,378 active patients:
- 129 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 12 at MH
- 50 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 20 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 18 at CRPF Doyapur
- 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 14 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 04 at Valley Hospital
- 00 at South City Hospital
- 23 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
- 09 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 67 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 31 Palonghat Model Hospital
- 1,001 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 23 June to 5 PM on 24 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 3 deceased, 02 are from Karimganj district and 01 from Cachar district.
The deceased were identified as Fakar Uddin (65) from Ramkrishnagar in Karimganj district, Dipti Biswas (76) from Link Road, Silchar and Altaf Uddin (80) from Asimganj in Karimganj district.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 24 June, there were 130 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 68 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 62 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 11 patients were put under ventilator support and 98 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 32 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 28 of them were discharged.
