With 10 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 23 on 27 August

Aug. 27: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Friday at 11.30 PM. As per the latest data, 10 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 23 persons were found positive in the district on 27 August. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 13 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 120. This was informed by District Media Expert on Friday night. Also, 10 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Thursday, 22 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.

As per the updated data, a total of 2,435 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 09 persons were found positive, whereas 14 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,666 whereas during this phase, 19,352 patients were discharged.

Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 120 active patients:

27 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
14 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
06 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
11 at CRPF Doyapur
05 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
02 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
09 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
05 Palonghat Model Hospital
35 patients are in home isolation.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 26 August to 5 PM on 27 August) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 27 August, there were 24 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 02 patients were put under ventilator support and 18 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 02 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 05 of them were discharged.
